The aim is to promote cooperation between EU Member States (or with third countries) in planning, developing, and exploiting renewable energy sources. Supported activities include construction, installation, deployment, and commissioning of components and systems for renewable energy generation, as well as essential related infrastructure. Projects must demonstrate significant system integration, environmental sustainability, security of supply, innovation, and commercial non-viability without CEF support. Only projects with CB RES status and a fully signed cooperation agreement are eligible.
