This grant program funds partnerships between the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and two- and four-year colleges, universities, community-based organizations, and non-profits to develop, implement, and expand Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. The initiative aims to ensure equitable access for Maryland students to high-skill, high-wage, and in-demand career pathways. Funded projects must support professional learning for CTE educators, curriculum development, student engagement in Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), work-based learning, and opportunities for students to earn post-secondary credits, industry-recognized credentials, and participate in registered apprenticeships.
