This grant supports non-profit organizations in delivering free, community-driven arts, science, and history programming within Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The initiative focuses on increasing cultural access in historically underserved neighborhoods by funding workshops, classes, performances, festivals, and multicultural events that foster community engagement and upward mobility. Programming must be accessible, shaped by community input, and occur in neighborhood spaces such as libraries, recreation centers, and parks. The program is administered by the Arts & Science Council in partnership with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Libraries and Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation.
