The Cytopathology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is a one-year, ACGME-accredited program designed to provide comprehensive training in all aspects of cytopathology. Fellows gain expertise in the performance and interpretation of fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsies, gynecologic and nongynecologic exfoliative cytology, and advanced ancillary techniques such as flow cytometry, molecular diagnostics, cytogenetics, and immunocytochemistry. The program emphasizes hands-on experience with a high case volume, direct interaction with clinicians and radiologists, and increasing responsibility throughout the year.
