The D. Craig Miller Honoring Our Mentors Program is part of the AATS Foundation Surgical Investigator research scholarship series. It provides research funding to cardiac surgeons within their first seven years of practice, aiming to support early-career investigators in advancing clinical or translational research in cardiothoracic surgery. Awardees receive funding for salary, research supplies, travel, and other academic expenses. All applicants to this program are automatically considered for all available AATS Foundation Surgical Investigator awards, with assignments based on individual requirements and the review committee’s discretion.
