The Daiches-Manning Memorial Fellowship in 18th-Century Scottish Studies is designed to support postdoctoral scholars pursuing interdisciplinary and international research in the field of eighteenth-century Scottish literature, culture, and history. Hosted by the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH) at the University of Edinburgh and co-sponsored by the Eighteenth-Century Scottish Studies Society (ECSSS) and the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (ASECS), the fellowship provides recipients with a private office, research facilities, and access to the vibrant scholarly community at IASH. Fellows are expected to be resident in Edinburgh for the duration of the fellowship, present at least one seminar on their research, and engage with colleagues across the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
