The DAR BEN GACEM TUNISIAN RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP provides ASOR members (excluding those from Tunisia) the opportunity to conduct research in Tunisia, hosted at the historic Dar Ben Gacem guest houses in the Medina of Tunis. The fellowship covers up to four weeks of room and half board (breakfast and dinner) at one of the guest houses. Projects may focus on history, archaeology, cultural heritage, religion, ethnography, or museum collections, and should align with ASOR’s Annual Meeting program. Recipients are expected to share their research at an ASOR Annual Meeting and present preliminary findings to the local community at Dar Ben Gacem. Applicants are responsible for their own travel, additional expenses, and securing visas or research permissions.
