The Dean John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship offers graduate students with an interest in ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes resources a unique, year-long, paid placement in Washington, D.C. Fellows are matched with hosts in the legislative or executive branches of the federal government, where they gain direct experience in marine policy, develop professional skills, and expand their networks. The program is sponsored by NOAA’s National Sea Grant College Program and administered through state Sea Grant programs, such as Washington Sea Grant.
