This award recognizes exceptional achievements in the field of pedology, the study of soil formation, classification, and landscape relationships. The honor is presented by the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA) and celebrates individuals whose work has significantly advanced the understanding and methodologies within pedology. The award is supported by the Advancing Pedology Lectureship Fund and administered through SSSA. Recipients are expected to give a presentation at the Advancing Pedology Colloquium during the ASA-CSSA-SSSA International Annual Meeting.
