Description
This program aims to increase the number of dental and dental hygiene faculty in the U.S. workforce by providing loan repayment support to accredited training programs. The initiative targets the recruitment and retention of full-time faculty in general, pediatric, and public health dentistry, as well as dental hygiene, addressing ongoing shortages that hinder dental education and care access. Loan repayment is structured to incentivize long-term faculty employment, with increasing repayment percentages over a five-year period, while also encouraging faculty development and mentoring.
