    Description

The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), part of the NIH, intends to issue a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to establish an Administrative and Resource Center (ARC) for a Dental Primary Care Practice-Based Research Network (PBRN). The ARC will build infrastructure to support planning and implementation of multiple observational studies and clinical trials, working in tandem with a Coordinating Center (to be supported under a separate NOFO). The network aims to advance research that integrates oral health care into overall medical care ("whole-person health"). Key ARC responsibilities include practitioner recruitment and retention, single IRB management, research training for practitioners and staff, and coordinating study implementation across multiple U.S. regions (“Nodes”).

Researchers with expertise in clinical research coordination and practice-based research are encouraged to prepare for this opportunity by developing collaborations and project concepts.
