Description
The Deployed Warfighter Protection (DWFP) Program supports original and innovative research that advances the protection of deployed military personnel from arthropod vectors of disease (e.g., ticks, mosquitoes) and nuisance biting arthropods. Research should focus on advanced technology development—such as new or improved insecticides, vector control methods, surveillance technologies, or personal protective modalities—with an emphasis on outcomes relevant to both military and civilian populations. Projects must address at least one of the FY26 DWFP focus areas: vector control or vector surveillance/identification. Basic research, clinical studies, and research not directly aligned with these focus areas are not supported.
