Description
Des mots à la scène is a production fund run by the Institut français with support from the Ministry of Culture. It promotes contemporary French-language playwriting, particularly authors and works underrepresented on international stages. Support covers the creative process from research and writing to creation, performance, and distribution, helping unpublished dramatic works reach audiences beyond their countries of origin.
The program strengthens the financial and technical resources available for production and develops international distribution networks. It also encourages circulation of works and artists across the Francophone world and the professional development of emerging companies and collectives. Projects incorporating eco-friendly practices and promoting gender equality receive priority.
