Funder: Crohn's and Colitis Foundation
Due Dates: August 7, 2026
Funding Amounts: Up to $50,000 total; project duration is 90 days from agreed start date.
Summary: Funds the development of a comprehensive inventory of patient-reported outcome measures used in IBD to support future standardization and harmonization across research and clinical care.
This opportunity supports the creation of a comprehensive inventory and characterization of patient-reported outcome (PRO) instruments currently used in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) research and clinical care. The project will identify, compile, and analyze existing PRO measures, detailing their frequency of use, domains assessed, references, item-level content, structure, validation status, translations, and applicability across populations. The resulting inventory will facilitate classification of outcome domains, identification of overlapping and unique concepts, and evaluation of opportunities for harmonization and standardization. Ultimately, this work will provide the evidence base for a future consensus-driven effort to define a standardized, actionable IBD PRO set for use across the IBD research and clinical community.
