Description
This funding opportunity, under the EU4Health Programme (EU4H), aims to advance the late-stage development, improvement, and market readiness of diagnostic tests and medical devices targeting vector-borne diseases (VBDs). The focus is on rapid, accurate, and accessible diagnostic tools that enable earlier detection, reduce misdiagnoses, and improve patient outcomes for diseases such as Dengue, Zika, Chikungunya, and West Nile fever. Activities may include updating and optimizing molecular assays, serological tests, and developing innovative solutions supported by clinical evidence. Projects should enhance the EU’s capacity to detect and respond to emerging and re-emerging pathogens, contributing to public health security and global health initiatives.
