This Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action funds the development of a comprehensive research capacity building programme linking EU Member States/Associated Countries and Ukrainian cancer centres. The goal is to enhance research and innovation capacities, foster integration with cancer care, and address disparities in access and quality of cancer care in Ukraine, particularly in the context of challenges exacerbated by conflict. The funded programme will include joint research training, distance-learning modules, twinning research activities (such as staff exchanges), and access to advanced research services. Focus areas include scientific research involvement, clinical trials, epidemiological studies, integration of research and care (especially for children, adolescents, and young adults), digital capacity improvement for data exchange and cancer registries, and ensuring gender balance and staff safety.
