--- ## Description This Horizon Europe call funds projects to develop next-generation, design-to-cost batteries for electric mobility applications. The focus is on affordable, sustainable battery technologies that minimize reliance on critical raw materials and support the competitiveness of the European battery value chain. Eligible projects should target either lithium-ion batteries using lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) or high lithium, manganese (HLM) cathode materials, or sodium-ion batteries for mobility. Proposals must demonstrate advanced cell performance (energy density, fast charging, cycle life), cost competitiveness by 2030, and compatibility with innovative, energy-efficient manufacturing and recycling processes.
