The American Psychological Foundation's Direct Action Visionary Grants fund innovative projects that leverage psychological knowledge to address urgent community needs, with a particular emphasis on serving marginalized communities and combating prejudice, stigma, and violence. The program seeks evidence-based interventions or resources that can be adapted, scaled, or translated to maximize real-world impact, especially for populations facing racism, antisemitism, homophobia, misogyny, or other forms of bigotry. Projects should align with at least one of APF’s four Visionary Priorities: serving marginalized communities, ending prejudice and stigma, preventing violence, or exploring mind-body health connections.
