This program funds hands-on, collaborative initiatives designed to strengthen connections among NEA members, deepen advocacy, and uplift the voices of educators with disabilities or those advancing disability rights in K–12 and higher education. Rooted in Disability Justice values—Interdependence, Collective Access, and Collective Liberation—the grant emphasizes organizing and coalition-building that unites educators, families, students, and community partners to address inequities in education. Projects should foster strong relationships, build lasting advocacy infrastructure, and elevate leadership and stories of members with disabilities.
