    Description

    This opportunity provides disaster reimbursement and assistance funding to State Units on Aging (SUAs) and federally recognized Tribal Organizations that are current grantees under Title VI of the Older Americans Act (OAA) and have received a Major Disaster Declaration from the President under the Robert T. Stafford Relief and Emergency Assistance Act. The goal is to support immediate, gap-filling services for older adults in disaster-affected areas, such as outreach, information and assistance, counseling, case management, advocacy, food, supplies, equipment replacement, staff overtime, emergency medications, and transportation. Funding is intended for needs not covered by other disaster relief resources.
