The Louisville Institute Dissertation Fellowship provides $35,000 grants to doctoral students (Ph.D. or Th.D.) in the final year of dissertation writing whose research addresses Christian faith and life, ministry practice, religious trends, faith-based institutions, or religion and social issues in the United States or Canada. The fellowship is open to projects from a range of disciplines—including history, theology, social sciences, ethics, and biblical studies—and values work that bridges church and academy to enrich North American Christian communities. Recipients participate in a collaborative Winter Seminar with other fellows, with travel and lodging covered by the Institute.
