Description
The Department of Energy (DOE) Quantum Genesis Q Competition is a first-of-its-kind initiative to accelerate the development and deployment of the world’s first fault-tolerant, scientifically relevant quantum computing (SRQC) capability for research and development. The competition aims to catalyze U.S. leadership in quantum computing by supporting domestic commercial entities to deliver scalable, fault-tolerant quantum computers capable of addressing scientific challenges relevant to DOE’s mission. Awardees will follow a milestone-based process, progressing from prototype demonstration to the realization of a first-generation SRQC, with the potential for significant milestone and incentive pool payments.
