Key Information: Clinical research/trials and basic research are not allowed; preliminary/published data required.
This opportunity supports translational research projects that accelerate critical findings into clinically relevant solutions for arthritis. The program seeks hypothesis-driven, high-impact applied research relevant to Service Members, Veterans, their Families, and the general public. Research addressing any and all types of arthritis—including osteoarthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, inflammatory arthritis, juvenile arthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis—is encouraged. Projects must be preclinical or animal research only; basic research and clinical trials are specifically excluded.
The intent is to fund research that meaningfully advances the field and bridges the gap between discovery and clinical application, with a strong emphasis on impact and the potential to improve patient care and military health outcomes.
