Description
This opportunity from the Department of the Army (USAMRAA) funds research that repurposes or expands existing research resources—such as cohorts, tools, or interventions not previously focused on post-traumatic epilepsy (PTE)—to accelerate understanding of PTE and its associated comorbidities. The program encourages basic, translational, and/or clinical research, with an emphasis on leveraging ongoing or completed research efforts to address key gaps in the PTE field. Projects must clearly demonstrate how adapting an existing resource will significantly advance knowledge of PTE.
Distinctive features for FY26 include a restriction that an investigator may be named as Principal Investigator (PI) on only one application to this mechanism. The program encourages multidisciplinary collaborations and meaningful engagement with individuals living with PTE, although community collaboration is not required.
