This opportunity supports innovative, high-impact research that addresses critical gaps in lupus understanding, prevention, diagnosis, or treatment. The program emphasizes projects with the potential to significantly advance the field or improve the quality of life for individuals living with lupus. Research must address at least one of the FY26 Lupus Research Program (LRP) Impact Award focus areas. Clinical trials are not permitted under this mechanism. Both domestic and foreign organizations, including for-profit, nonprofit, academic, and public or private entities, are eligible. The program encourages multidisciplinary collaborations and applications from both established and new investigators to lupus research.
