    Description

This opportunity supports research that moves promising preclinical and/or clinical findings closer to real-world clinical application for tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC). The focus is on studies with clear translational potential, such as pilot clinical trials, biomarker validation, studies analyzing human data or clinical samples, and research to improve clinical care or develop new guidelines for TSC. Projects must include a clinical component (purely animal studies are not eligible).

Distinctive features of this mechanism include the option for multiple Principal Investigators (PIs) on a single project. The program encourages collaborative, multidisciplinary efforts, including partnerships between academia, industry, and federal agencies. Both preclinical and clinical studies are eligible, provided they are designed to meaningfully advance patient care.
