This scholarship supports innovative doctoral research that advances the science of occupational therapy. Projects must focus on developing or investigating models and approaches that address social justice, human volition, or bridge the gap between research and practice. The scholarship also encourages extensions of theoretical foundations in occupational therapy, client-centered and occupation-based innovations, novel intervention techniques, and research utilizing existing data or testing measures. Established in honor of Dr. Gary Kielhofner, the award aims to foster new research talent and future leaders in the occupational therapy field.
