The Dr Williams’s Trust Library Bursaries are designed to support mid-career historians undertaking research on British Protestant dissenting traditions from the seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth centuries. The bursaries are administered by the Institute of Historical Research (IHR) and funded by the Dr Williams’s Trust, established in 1711 to promote research and learning in this field. Awardees are expected to base their research at the IHR’s Wohl Library and other London libraries or archives, participate in IHR activities, and share findings through the IHR’s On History Blog.
