Description
This opportunity funds the creation and expansion of large-scale manufacturing facilities for zero emission vehicle (ZEV) technologies in the UK. The DRIVE35: Scale Up Fund is delivered by Innovate UK in partnership with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and the Advanced Propulsion Centre UK (APC). The aim is to accelerate the commercialisation and scaling of next-generation green automotive innovations, strengthening the UK's leadership in sustainable transportation and supporting the nation's net zero ambitions.
Projects must focus on developing manufacturing readiness at pilot or demonstration scale, enabling businesses to validate manufacturing capability and commercial viability for ZEVs and related supply chain technologies (including batteries, electric machines, power electronics, hydrogen storage, fuel cells, and more). Substantial private investment is required alongside the public grant to ensure meaningful business expansion and market entry.
