This opportunity funds Minnesota-based early-career artists to pursue research, development, or planning activities in public art. The grant is designed to foster innovation, artistic growth, and community engagement, with a strong emphasis on supporting artists from diverse backgrounds including BIPOC and Native artists, LGBTQIA+ artists, womxn artists, immigrants, rural artists, and artists with disabilities. Supported activities may include research, planning, community dialogues, site/budget development, or model building for freely accessible public art projects. All supported work must be original, artist-initiated, and benefit the broader community.
