This grant is designed to support early career mathematics educators and doctoral candidates in mathematics education to initiate or advance research projects that bridge research and practice. The program encourages proposals addressing a variety of topics in mathematics education, such as teaching and learning at any level, preservice teacher education, innovative assessments, and the use of technology. The expectation is that research will culminate in a draft article suitable for submission to a peer-reviewed mathematics education journal. Preference is given to projects with clear research designs, well-articulated data collection and analysis plans, and strong potential to impact mathematics teaching and learning. Awardees are required to share results with the broader mathematics teacher education community.
