Description
The Early Career Scheme (ECS), established by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC), is designed to nurture junior academics and prepare them for successful careers in research and education. The scheme provides a platform for new faculty at UGC-funded universities to lead independent research projects and integrate research with educational activities, including undergraduate research training. Projects are assessed in a dedicated review process, ensuring that early career researchers compete among their peers. Additional recognition and funding are available for outstanding projects with strong educational components.
