This program, managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), provides cooperative agreement funding for projects that advance the conservation, study, protection, and management of archaeological resources in Lincoln County, Nevada. Projects must align with U.S. Department of the Interior and Eastern Nevada conservation and development goals. Eligible projects should address one or more objectives: protecting archaeological sites, caring for collections and records, utilizing and sharing research results, increasing public outreach and involvement, and balancing land use with future needs through responsible management and restoration.
All work must comply with the Lincoln County Land Act and the Archaeological Resources Protection Act, meaning only resources at least 100 years old are eligible for funding.
