Description
The ECCO Global Grant is an initiative of the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation (ECCO) designed to expand and strengthen the global ECCO network by supporting research partnerships between centers in ECCO Member countries and non-ECCO countries classified as low- or lower-middle income by the World Bank. The grant aims to foster innovative, multicentre research projects addressing knowledge gaps or unmet needs in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) pathogenesis, epidemiology, or clinical care, with a strong emphasis on the inclusion and leadership of low- and lower-middle income countries. The program is intended to extend the outreach and global perspective of IBD research, and successful projects must demonstrate both scientific excellence and meaningful collaboration across international boundaries.
