--- ## Description The Edith B. Wislocki Fund, managed by the SouthCoast Community Foundation, provides targeted support to nonprofit organizations whose work either improves the health and quality of life for both people and animals through positive human–animal interactions—particularly those involving horses and dogs—or preserves open space for public use in Rehoboth and throughout Bristol County, Massachusetts. Eligible projects must clearly align with at least one of these purposes and demonstrate a meaningful community impact. Only program support grants are available through this fund. --- ## Due Dates - March 31, 2026: Full application deadline (all applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm to be considered for the Spring 2026 Grant Cycle / Edith B. Wislocki Fund) --- ## Funding Amount - Maximum grant size is $4,500 per program support proposal. - Organizations may submit up to three distinct proposals within a single application (each considered independently, each up to $4,500). - Grant period is typically one year from award (expected to be announced by May 31, 2026). - Funds are distributed upfront upon award. --- ## Eligibility - Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or have a fiscal sponsor with 501(c)(3) status. - Projects must: - Improve health and quality of life for people and animals through positive human–animal interactions (with a focus on horses and dogs), OR - Preserve open space for public use in Rehoboth or elsewhere in Bristol County, MA. - Only program support grants are eligible (not general operating, capacity-building, or capital-only requests). - Organizations headquartered outside the South Coast region may apply if their programs benefit the specified geographic areas. --- ## Application Process - Applications are submitted via the [SouthCoast Community Foundation’s online grants portal](https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=cfsema). - The application uses a universal format allowing up to three proposals per organization in one submission. - Required information includes: - Organization mission and focus, geographic area(s) and populations served - Program/project description, amount requested, anticipated outcomes, measures of success, and budget rationale - Specific alignment with the Wislocki Fund’s focus areas - Information sessions are offered throughout March 2026 to assist applicants with the process (see [information session details](https://southcoastcf.org/spring-grant-round-information-session-hybrid/)). - All applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm on March 31, 2026. - Funding decisions are announced by May 31, 2026. - A brief report on outcomes is required approximately one year after the award. --- ## Additional Information - The Spring 2026 Grant Cycle is a pilot; applicant feedback will inform future cycles. - Organizations may reapply in the Fall cycle if not funded in the Spring. - Reasonable indirect costs supporting program implementation are allowable. - Site visits are not required but may be included as part of the review process. - Applicants may request less than the maximum; partial funding is possible. --- ## External Links - [SouthCoast Community Foundation – Apply for Grants](https://southcoastcf.org/receive/apply-for-grants/) - [Edith B.
