This grant opportunity from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE) supports projects that develop and widely disseminate information about innovative and effective practices of high-quality charter school models. The goal is to expand access to high-quality education options by sharing strategies, tools, and resources that can be adopted by other charter schools, traditional public schools, or non-public schools. Projects must address key implementation challenges and focus on at least one stage of the charter school lifecycle, such as design, authorization, operations, or replication.
The program is particularly interested in models that address unique student needs (e.g., students with disabilities, military-connected students, rural or Native American students) or focus on areas like STEM, civics, or career and technical education.
No cost sharing or matching is required. No more than 5% of grant funds may be used for direct administration.
