Description
This cooperative agreement aims to develop and deliver education, training, outreach, and technical assistance on the FDA Produce Safety Rule (PSR) to produce farmers who are members of federally recognized Tribes. The program is designed to address gaps in culturally appropriate food safety education and help Tribal farmers access technical resources, whether or not they are currently required to comply with the PSR. Activities must consider Tribal history, culture, and regional agricultural practices, and the program will leverage partnerships with Tribal organizations, extension educators, and federal agencies to maximize impact and sustainability.
