    Description

    This program, administered by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS), aims to improve results for children with disabilities by supporting the development, demonstration, and use of technology in educational settings. Specifically, the FY25 competition funds projects that implement evidence-based technology-based tools or approaches to improve reading outcomes for children with, or at risk for, disabilities in pre-kindergarten through high school.

    Funded projects are expected to:

    • Improve reading outcomes for children with disabilities using technology-based tools.
    • Enhance educator implementation of evidence-based technology tools for reading instruction.
    • Increase educator and family engagement with these tools.
    • Promote sustained use of effective technology-based approaches within instructional settings.

    Projects must address a single absolute priority: the use of evidence-based, technology-based tools or approaches that improve reading outcomes for children with disabilities.
