Summary: Supports Malaysia-wide outreach and advising centers to promote U.S. higher education opportunities for Malaysian students at undergraduate and graduate levels.
This grant opportunity, offered by the U.S. Mission to Malaysia, funds organizations to promote U.S. higher education among Malaysian students through the establishment and operation of at least three EducationUSA advising centers in the Klang Valley, Penang, and East Malaysia. The program aims to provide accurate and comprehensive information about studying in the United States, increase student participation in EducationUSA activities, and ultimately expand the number of Malaysian students enrolling at U.S. institutions. The project must also celebrate and promote the 250th anniversary of the United States (Freedom250) and align with U.S. foreign policy priorities, such as advancing American prosperity, safety, and freedom of speech.
Eligible projects include education fairs, presentations at schools and universities, alumni engagement, and collaborative outreach programs. The U.S. Embassy will maintain substantial involvement throughout the project, including coordination on advising strategies and outreach activities.
