Description
This opportunity, led by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and Innovate UK in partnership with the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), seeks expressions of interest (EOI) from UK-registered businesses acting as Flexibility Service Providers (FSPs) for the Electricity Demand Turn Up (DTU) trial. The trial aims to test whether providing rebates for Final Consumption Levies (FCLs) can incentivize consumers to increase electricity demand when it benefits the grid, thereby reducing the curtailment of renewable energy. The EOI is the initial step in a multi-phase trial; successful applicants will be invited to a subsequent stage where funding is available.
