The Elie Wiesel Study Tour is an immersive educational program designed for Romanian university students interested in exploring the history and impact of the Holocaust and communism. Sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Romania and organized in partnership with the Embassy of Israel and the National Institute for Holocaust Studies, the program includes visits to historic sites such as Auschwitz, the Elie Wiesel Memorial House, and other significant locations across Central Europe. Participants engage in workshops, debates, and reflection exercises led by experienced coordinators and a teacher with a strong background in Holocaust history. After the tour, students are required to implement dissemination activities in their communities, such as public presentations, peer discussions, and writing articles to share and reinforce the knowledge gained.
