Description
This award is designed to honor an emerging scholar whose research advances understanding of multiculturalism and/or multilingualism, particularly in Europe or other international contexts. Established in memory of Elizabeth Sherman Swing, the first historian of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES), the award highlights research excellence in theoretical innovation, methodological rigor, and meaningful policy implications. The recipient is selected for an unpublished paper accepted for presentation at the CIES annual conference, either virtually or in person.
