--- ## Description The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), part of the NIH, intends to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the EmbraceHealth Clinical Research Network. This initiative aims to establish a collaborative network of research sites dedicated to addressing emerging, urgent, or chronic health needs among populations experiencing health disparities. The program’s primary objectives include: - Developing and maintaining infrastructure to conduct impactful research on health disparities. - Designing, testing, and implementing clinical and behavioral interventions to improve health outcomes in underserved communities. - Ensuring interventions are feasible, scalable, and reproducible. - Bridging clinical practice with scientific research in lower-resourced healthcare settings. Each research site will be expected to: - Recruit and enroll clinicians for clinical and health services research. - Harmonize electronic health record (EHR) data using approved common data elements for cross-site analyses. - Develop, test, and deploy interventions, workflows, and decision support systems. - Create and evaluate strategies to reduce disparities in primary and/or subspecialty care. - Facilitate research on emergent health conditions relevant to health disparities, including prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment. - Collaborate with other network sites and the Coordinating Center to share deidentified data for further research.
