Description
This program aims to help hospitals and emergency departments establish and implement evidence-based practices that offer alternatives to pharmacological opioid interventions for pain management. The overarching goal is to reduce the harmful consequences of opioid use for pain care, promote safer pain treatment strategies, and decrease the risk of future opioid misuse and potential overdose. Funded projects are expected to develop, test, or expand non-opioid pain management protocols tailored for emergency and hospital settings.
