This funding opportunity supports the establishment of a National Pediatric Readiness Coordinating Center (NPRCC) to improve and expand pediatric emergency care readiness in hospital emergency departments (EDs) and pre-hospital emergency medical services (EMS) systems nationwide. The NPRCC aims to ensure children receive high-quality emergency care, regardless of location, by developing guidelines, providing technical assistance, increasing awareness, and measuring progress in pediatric readiness. The program is funded by HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau and is a key component of the Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) initiative.
