    Description

    This funding opportunity aims to support tribal and urban Indian communities in addressing the intertwined epidemics of HIV, hepatitis C virus (HCV), and syphilis. The program’s objectives are to:

    • Directly increase the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of HIV, HCV, and syphilis.
    • Reduce new infections of these diseases and associated co-morbidities.
    • Improve health outcomes and reduce health disparities related to HIV, HCV, and syphilis among the AI/AN population.

    Applicants will be expected to implement innovative strategies and interventions to achieve the following overarching goals by 2030:

    • Reduce new HIV, HCV, and syphilis infections to fewer than 3,000 per year.
    • Achieve a 90% reduction in new HCV infections and a 65% reduction in mortality, compared to 2015 baselines.
