This funding opportunity is designed to support institutions in EPSCoR-eligible jurisdictions to improve STEM education, research capacity, and workforce development. The initiative, led by the NSF Directorate for STEM Education (EDU), encourages both new proposals and supplemental funding requests from eligible institutions to expand access to STEM opportunities for students, educators, researchers, and communities. The program seeks to foster innovation, broaden participation, and stimulate economic and social development in historically underfunded regions by supporting projects that address one or more of the following goals:
Proposals must align with the mission of one of the four participating EDU divisions: Equity for Excellence in STEM (EES), Research on Learning in Formal and Informal Settings (DRL), Undergraduate Education (DUE), or Graduate Education (DGE).
