The Environmental Justice Grant Program, administered by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), funds projects that measure, prevent, or reduce pollution and address environmental health disparities in Colorado communities disproportionately impacted by pollution and climate change. The program aims to enhance access to clean air and water, promote climate resilience, and foster healthier environments through community-driven initiatives. Projects can include direct environmental interventions, community monitoring, data gathering, and efforts that promote equitable participation in rulemaking affecting impacted communities. Oversight is provided by the Environmental Justice Advisory Board.
