Description
The Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) offers fellowships for independent research on pressing environmental topics, including biodiversity, conservation, ecosystem ecology, biological invasions, environmental pollution, global change, parasite and disease ecology, watersheds, and land use. For this cycle, there is special interest in postdoctoral projects focusing on fauna outside the United States, including studies on native or introduced species and their ecological interactions. Fellows benefit from access to SERC’s world-class facilities, expert advisors, and a collaborative research environment. Placements are available at SERC’s Maryland campus or the San Francisco Bay area, depending on the advisor.
