The Sundance Institute Episodic Program is a highly competitive opportunity for emerging and mid-career writers to develop original scripted television series. The centerpiece is the six-day Episodic Lab, where up to ten selected fellows workshop their pilot scripts with the guidance of accomplished showrunners, producers, and industry executives. The program offers intensive story meetings, craft workshops, simulated writers’ rooms, and pitching sessions. Beyond the lab, fellows benefit from ongoing creative and strategic support, targeted introductions to industry professionals, and a continuum of mentorship designed to help advance both their projects and careers. The program is open to both U.S. and international applicants writing in English, and covers all major costs for lab participation.
